If you searched for Metro Retro pricing, you've probably noticed the name has changed twice. Metro Retro became Ludi in August 2025, and Ludi became Spreo on July 1, 2026, for trademark reasons. metroretro.io now redirects to spreo.io, and Spreo says nothing else changed. Below are today's Spreo prices and how they compare with Retro Rabbit's for real team sizes.
Spreo is an online whiteboard for agile teams, used for sprint planning, refinement and retros, and priced per person by role. Retro Rabbit is a retro tool built for retros that lead to change. The team adds notes during the sprint, CarrotIQ groups and summarises them and suggests action items, and unfinished action items come back in the next retro until someone closes them. It costs one flat price per team, however many people sign in.
Retro Rabbit vs Spreo at a glance
- Per team vs per person. Spreo charges $13 per Editor and $3 per Collaborator per month billed yearly ($16 and $4 billed monthly). Retro Rabbit charges $30 (Starter) or $40 (Pro AI) per team per month, with unlimited users.
- Everyone signed in, Starter costs less from 7 people. With one Editor per team and everyone else signed in as a Collaborator, Retro Rabbit Starter costs less than Spreo for every team of 7 or more, billed yearly or monthly.
- AI inside the retro. CarrotIQ groups related notes automatically, writes summaries and suggests action items. Spreo's beta AI sorts the stickies you select into topics.
- Notes all sprint and follow-through. The board stays open the whole sprint, and Previous Retro and Old/Unresolved tabs bring open action items back.
- Built for retros. Five ready formats, editable columns and no per-person licences to assign.

Metro Retro pricing today: Spreo vs Retro Rabbit
"Spreo is priced by role", in its own words. Prices are in US dollars before VAT, and yearly billing saves up to 25%.
| Spreo plan | Billed yearly | Billed monthly |
|---|---|---|
| Team: Editor (creates boards, runs sessions; one required) | $13 per user per month | $16 per user per month |
| Team: Collaborator (signs in; can't create boards or host) | $3 per user per month | $4 per user per month |
| Team: Visitor (Open boards, no account) | $0, unlimited | $0, unlimited |
| Consultant | $250 per seat per year | $25 per seat per month |
| Enterprise (100+ users) | On request | On request |
Retro Rabbit charges per team: Starter is $30 per team per month, Pro AI is $40 and adds CarrotIQ, and Enterprise is custom. A team is one Team Room, and the people in it don't change the price. The 14-day trial includes CarrotIQ and needs no credit card. Annual billing and invoices are available on request.
What a team costs with everyone signed in
Spreo's Team plan needs at least one Editor. Spreo's own example, a product team of 8 with 1 Editor and 7 Collaborators, is $34 a month billed yearly. We priced the same setup for several team sizes: one Editor per team and everyone else signed in as a Collaborator.
| Setup | Spreo, billed yearly | Spreo, billed monthly | Retro Rabbit Starter | Retro Rabbit Pro AI |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 team of 7 | $13 + 6 × $3 = $31 | $16 + 6 × $4 = $40 | $30 | $40 |
| 1 team of 12 | $13 + 11 × $3 = $46 | $16 + 11 × $4 = $60 | $30 | $40 |
| 3 teams of 8 (24 people) | 3 × $13 + 21 × $3 = $102 | 3 × $16 + 21 × $4 = $132 | 3 × $30 = $90 | 3 × $40 = $120 |
| 8 teams of 9 (72 people) | 8 × $13 + 64 × $3 = $296 | 8 × $16 + 64 × $4 = $384 | 8 × $30 = $240 | 8 × $40 = $320 |
Assumptions: one Editor per team and everyone else a signed-in Collaborator; Spreo's free Visitors, who join Open boards without an account, aren't included, and if one Editor runs several teams' sessions Spreo costs less than shown; Spreo in USD before VAT, yearly prices shown per month; Retro Rabbit list prices, billed monthly.
- Starter costs less than Spreo in every row, billed yearly or monthly.
- Pro AI, which adds CarrotIQ, costs the same as Spreo billed monthly for a team of 7 and less in the other rows. Against Spreo billed yearly, Pro AI costs less for the team of 12 and more in the other rows.
- Where the lines cross. Per team, Spreo billed yearly passes Starter's $30 at 7 people and Pro AI's $40 at 11. Billed monthly, it passes $30 at 5 people and $40 at 8.
- Headcount doesn't move Retro Rabbit's price. Add someone to a Team Room and the price stays the same; on Spreo each signed-in person adds $3 or $4 a month.

Still on a Metro Retro or Ludi plan?
Spreo's docs say the legacy Starter ($4 per member per month billed annually, $5 monthly) and Business ($6 annually, $8 monthly) plans were sold until October 2026, and existing customers keep their plan and price. Compare against what you pay today.
AI features: CarrotIQ vs Spreo
CarrotIQ is Retro Rabbit's AI. It's on Pro AI and Enterprise, and included in the 14-day trial:
- Automatic grouping. CarrotIQ groups related notes and names each group in a few words. You can still drag a note into another group or rename a group, and CarrotIQ keeps the name you chose.
- Summaries. A short summary for each column plus an overall summary of the sprint, saved in the Team Room's sprint list.
- Suggested action items. "CarrotIQ Suggest" proposes an action item from the retro's notes, weighted by votes, and skips actions you've already created.
Spreo. AI features are on every Spreo plan once the account owner enables them: a beta "Sort into Topics (Uses AI)" action groups the stickies you select, and a beta MCP server lets outside assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT build, read and summarise boards.
In Retro Rabbit, the grouping, summaries and suggested action items happen inside the retro and are saved with it, so the next retro starts with last sprint's summary and open actions in reach.
How a sprint works in Retro Rabbit
- Add notes as things happen. Each team has a Team Room whose board stays open all sprint. Add a note on the board, from Quick Notes on the dashboard, or, if your team uses Slack, with
/retrofollowed by the note. Anyone can switch off "Show Name" to post notes without their name shown. - CarrotIQ sorts the notes. Related notes are grouped and each group gets a short name, so the board is readable before the meeting starts.
- Run the review. Start the retro when the sprint ends. Everyone sees the same board live, with who's connected. Set a timer and vote: one vote per note, or dot voting with a maximum per person, chosen per Team Room.
- Summarise and decide. CarrotIQ writes a summary for each column and for the sprint. Use "CarrotIQ Suggest" for a draft action item weighted by votes, edit it, and assign an owner.
- Pick up where you left off. At the next retro, the Previous Retro and Old/Unresolved tabs show what's still open, so the team closes or keeps old items before adding new ones. Export the notes to CSV or XLSX and the board to PDF whenever you need a record.
Why teams switch to Retro Rabbit
- One price per team, everyone signed in. No Editor and Collaborator split to manage. Add a teammate and the price stays $30 or $40 per Team Room.
- Built for retros. What went well, Start/Stop/Continue, Sailboat, Mad/Sad/Glad and 4Ls are ready to use, and you can rename up to five columns per Team Room.
- Notes all sprint. The board is open the whole sprint. People add notes when something happens, so the retro isn't limited to what they remember on the day.
- CarrotIQ in the retro. It groups related notes automatically, names each group, summarises each column and the sprint, and suggests action items weighted by votes.
- Action items that come back. Every board has Current Retro, Previous Retro and Old/Unresolved tabs. Each item has an owner, and in Slack workspaces you can send the owner a reminder.
- Notes without your name shown. A per-person setting lets anyone post notes that display as "Anonymous".
- Everything in the trial. The 14-day trial includes CarrotIQ and needs no credit card.
- Slack, if you use it. It's optional, but teams on Slack can add notes with
/retroand start the review with/retro start.
Switching from Spreo to Retro Rabbit
- Export your boards first. A Spreo CSV export lets you pick columns such as content, author, votes, topic and action owner; PDF and Markdown work too. Keep these files as your archive.
- Check your current plan. On a legacy Metro Retro or Ludi plan, note what you pay today before cancelling, since existing customers keep their legacy price.
- Create one Team Room per team and pick a format. See the Start, Stop, Continue and 4Ls templates, or rename the columns to match your current board.
- Bring over only open action items. Re-create the unfinished ones from Spreo's Action Items dashboard, with owners, in your first retro. From then on they appear in the Previous Retro and Old/Unresolved tabs.
- Invite everyone. Invite people by email or share the team's join link on day one; it stays valid for 30 days.
- Start the trial at the start of a sprint. Fourteen days covers one sprint of note-taking and one retro. Let notes build up, let CarrotIQ group and summarise them, vote, and agree on one or two action items.

The bottom line
Retro Rabbit is built for one outcome: retros that lead to change. It's one price per team with everyone signed in, notes collected all sprint, CarrotIQ to group and summarise them, and action items that follow the team until they're done. See plans and start a 14-day trial (no credit card needed).
Frequently asked questions
What happened to Metro Retro?
Metro Retro was renamed Ludi in August 2025, and Ludi became Spreo on July 1, 2026, for trademark reasons. metroretro.io now redirects to spreo.io, and Spreo says existing links redirect and nothing else changes.

Spreo's docs say the legacy Starter ($4 per member per month billed annually) and Business ($6) plans were sold until October 2026, and existing customers keep their plan and price.
How does Retro Rabbit's price compare with Spreo's?
Spreo charges per person by role; Retro Rabbit charges per team. With one Editor and everyone else signed in as a Collaborator, a team of 7 costs $31 a month on Spreo billed yearly ($40 billed monthly), against $30 on Retro Rabbit Starter or $40 on Pro AI.
